simone biles
b. 1997
Spring, Texas
Gymnast, Olympian
Everything Simone Biles does results in a broken record, a medal, or a jaw drop. Sometimes, all three.
During her world debut at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Biles became the first woman on the U.S. gymnastics team to win four gold medals in one Olympic game.
In 2018, at the U.S. national championships, Biles became the first female gymnast in almost two decades to win all five events (bar, beam, floor, vault, all-around). She then entered the upper echelons of gymnastics by becoming the most-decorated American gymnast with a total of 32 Olympic and World medals.
