Novelist
Toni Morrison is one of the most famous Black authors with major novels like The Bluest Eye and Beloved. She's received numerous awards; Beloved was a bestseller for 25 weeks, and she is the first Black woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Her books highlight the struggles Black people, primarily Black women, endure while connecting with their history and past.
Outside of writing, Morrison was an editor at Random House, an organizer, and a lecturer at Princeton University.
