Living Single is the blueprint. 

Before Friends skyrocketed to success, there was Khadijah, Sinclair, Overton, Kyle, Maxine, and Reigine. 

We watched these twenty-somethings handle relationships, careers, and friendships with vibrant ‘90s Brooklyn as the background.

Khadijah, played by Queen Latifah, was the editor-in-chief of her own magazine, Flavor, and she hired her cousin, Synclaire (Kim Coles), as her assistant. Reigine (Kim Fields), our bougie and well-dressed queen, was always in a tit for tat with the rambunctious lawyer, Max, played by Erika Alexander.  

And of course, one of the greatest theme songs of all time: 🎵“Oooooh in a 90s kind of world, I’m glad I got my girls…” 🎵
